Now then! I’ve been real busy recently, working on some branding projects for print as well as some digital stuff. Really getting kicks from design for print.  What a joy. I have been researching and gathering some great print examples for inspiration. So here are a few examples of some fantastic packaging solutions. If design is about solving problems and coming up with clever solutions… these are all over it- with some vibrant colours and classy typography thrown in! Packaging with a punch.

So I’ve put my new portfolio website live now.

A complete overhaul of the site including all new content, a new side-scrolling layout and new adamgf branding. I will be blogging about the new logo separately including sketches of the creation for those interested. You can see all new illustration and graphic design work, as well as branding and identity projects and of course my motion design showreel. My tasty new site works best on a Hi-Gloss Apple screen!! For those of you who are among the 60,000 visitors this year to search for custom tattoo designs, you can see the tattoo design in my new website too! Enjoy!

Any comments about the new site are always welcome.

Adam Glynn-Finnegan.

I have just started blogging on Provocation Films blog.

They are a small collective of filmakers/ designers/ musicians  who want to make a difference by

making films ‘with a soul purpose’. I love that. Anyway, more on that later.

Zhestkov Screenshot

Designer of the week for this week is a motion graphics delight!

Fill your Visual belly with the work of Maxim Zhestkov. He is a 22 year old director, motion graphic artist and animator from Russia. He is on Flickr too. Please check this guys work out. He is really really fresh talent.

He has worked with Simon Pyke from Freefarm, who is the brother of Matt Pyke from Universal Everything, one of my favourite inspirations in Motion graphics….and a Northerner too! There’s a nice interview with him on the Computer Arts website.

Nando Costa Motion Still

I just had to blog this, Wicked video by Nando Costa, the brazillian artist. He has a phenomenal amount of classy work and I love it, Very inspiring and a real example of cultural awareness and culture affecting design. Brilliant at colour combinations and outstanding design. Did I mention I really like this guys work?

Poster Dezigner, Flickr

I’ve been meaning to blog this for a while now. I was on Flickr recently and found this designer.

His work is really really good, I’ve been getting into my hand-rendered typography again recently for a couple of custom illustration projects I’ve been doing. I’m working on some illustrations for a musician friend of mine and these have inspired me, even though my work is not type, i love this stuff.

He has created some very stunning compositions and has a great grasp of type and layout. Nice Graphic Dezign!

Hi I’m going to start a new feature, of Designer of the Week.

I want to boost the profile of this blog but also wanting to  boost profiles of up and coming artists, designers and motionographers. A couple of great sites that I love to look for new talent is Ffffound! and Mograph.

This weeks motion designer is Marula, she is someone who saw my Me and My Bod video on Vimeo and liked it. You can check out her awesome Live Visual motion graphics on her Vimeo page.

Magnitude have been nominated for a Webby award (that’s like the Oscars for the web).

We have been nominated in the Restaurants category for the work we have done for the Wagamama brand site and Me and My Bod Innovative Campaign site.

Magnitude Nominated for Webby

I have been working hard on the Me+My Bod site recently and also have produced the New Wagamama Me and My Bod Viral Video which can be seen on VIMEO and YouTube.… Enjoy… and make comments etc too! Adam Glynn-Finnegan.

faber castell

Great News! I have received sponsorship from Faber-Castell Ireland for a project I am working on. It’s pretty rad as we are the only project to be sponsored in Ireland.

Faber-Castell are the worlds biggest manufacturers of design, drawing and art materials and have been creating pencils and pens since 1761. Awesome! Check out their German castle here:
